Bringing Give Good Vibez To Life!

Hey friends! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been caught up with birthdays (my husband’s and my own) as well as Thanksgiving and family time. It’s been a great season and a time for reflection as well! It can get easy to focus on all the material things during this time of year but Aftershokz had an awesome campaign to help us bring their slogan Give Good Vibez to life!

In the middle of November, I was given a pair of new AfterShokz Aeropex as well as a pair of Titanium headphones to gift to someone else. Many runners will remember that Aftershokz has had a BOGO deal for Black Friday and this season was no different. However, this year we were challenge not to give our extra pair to runners but to other people who have made an impact in our lives.

Let’s take a second to talk about the headphones, shall we? Aftershokz headphones are popular among runners because they rest on the outside of your ear, so you are still aware of your surroundings. The headphones work through bone conduction so you hear your music loud and clear while still heading what’s going on around you. These Bluetooth headphones are lightweight and after a while you may not even notice that they are there. As someone who likes to go off and explore new running paths, these are great for me because I can always know what’s going on around me. They can also be used in an office setting where you want to listen to music but still want to know if there’s donuts in the break room!

This campaign always gets me excited because it allows me to give back to others who normally wouldn’t spend money on themselves. This year, I gave the pair of headphones to my friend/mentor/hermana Elizabeth. She loves and gives so much of her time and energy to others and doesn’t ask for anything in return. It is truly in her nature to just LOVE on others. This is the first time in YEARS that her and her husband went on a vacation where they just relaxed. She has been nothing but amazing to me and I’m truly grateful for the simple fact that she is in my life. A pair of headphones would probably never equate to all she has done for me but it’s a small gesture of appreciation!

It’s easy to get caught up in the commercialism of the holiday season and just drown in the stress of it all. However, I’m thankful for Aftershokz and their challenge to Give Good Vibez to others. We may be simply giving away a pair of headphones but taking the time to stop and appreciate someone else can leave a lasting impact!
