Weekend Update!

Another week has come and gone! I’ll be traveling a bit this upcoming week for work and have a concert to go to so I’m excited! It also means I’ll have to squeeze in workouts but I moved things around to make it fit with my training.

Saturday morning was a four mile run that turned into two because my bandage contraption decided to move and my blister was exposed. Ugh. I have this gnarly blood blister on the side of my foot that I try to cover up so it doesn’t rub and get worse. As I was finishing up my second mile, I started feeling the familiar pain. I decided to call it quits since I knew it was already aggravated and I didn’t have another way to cover it up. My sweet husband was willing to come back at night to finish up my other two miles. So we did! Late on Saturday night, we went back to the park and I ran my two miles. I think I was so ready to be done because I ran both pretty quick, haha! Jordan plays Pokemon Go while I run and he caught a Pikachu. He was so excited and that made me smile because it made the second run worth it.

In between runs on Saturday, we made a trip to the library. Our library has a thing kind of like Red Box with new releases and a BUNCH of movies to check out for free with our library card. Jordan picked a few movies for us and I picked up some books! I’m definitely on a reading kick and with traveling, I’ll be able to finish up a few books. I picked these three because I am really trying to learn how to expand my passion into a business. Hopefully these will give me a few pointers and a few ideas!
On Sunday, I did my quick tempo run which wasn’t my best because it had stormed the night before. That meant slick paths and dodging puddles. I wasn’t too upset though because I got out there and ran. Especially after doing my first double run day. That’s such a feat to me.

Also, we go to feed the ducks around the pond! I love these little guys and I’m always trying to catch one to pet them. Yes, I know I’m weird y’all! I think it would be a hoot to have a duck and my pup, Snowflake, as pets.

After church, the hubby and I relaxed. I sat in the couch with my compression socks and he rubbed my feet as we had our little movie marathon! He’s definitely my biggest fan and is always happy to have a movie marathon to give my legs a break, haha!

I can’t believe my first race is about a month away. Definitely getting excited and seeing progress in my runs. I’ve loved my training all year and seeing my growth but running is definitely my favorite!

How was your weekend? Any big plans?
