Tips For Tank Top Arms!

Tips For Tank Top Arms

As the temps start warming up here in Texas, it’s getting closer and closer to short and tank top weather! You’ll find me wearing sleeveless tops as much as possible during the summer. With the stifling heat, you’ll do anything to stay cool. Now that you’re wearing those tank tops and working to get rid of that Farmer’s Tan (guilty!), you also have to show off those arms you’ve been working for! I’ve been working on upper body strength and I’ve got to say, I’m starting to see some muscle definition. Here are a few helpful tips to get your arms tank top ready!

Tips For Tank Top Arms

Tip #1 – Be sure to workout your arms AND chest

While it’s easy to do 100 bicep curls and hope for leaner arms, you’ll have to work your chest to full get the burn you’re looking for. Doing a set of different arm and chest workouts will make sure that you’re getting all the muscles in your arms.

Tip #2 – Don’t overlook yoga!

You may not realize it but a lot of inversions and yoga poses rely on upper body strength. Go through a slow flow and really focus on toning those arms by holding yourself up properly and not dumping all your weight into your hands. If your hands are falling asleep, I would readjust and check in with your body positioning.

Tip#3 – Work on your triceps!

This kind of goes back to my first tip but really focus on all muscles in your arm. By working on your triceps, you will see the muscle definition when you wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts!

Tip #4 – High reps, low weights

Don’t feel bad if you can’t lift heavy weights! You can stick to smaller weights as long as you do more repetitions. You are still getting the burn you are looking for and you arms will lean out if you do it regularly.

Overall if you have a balanced workout routine and you’re making sure to get those arms burning 2-3 times a week, you’re on your way to being tank top ready!
