Thanksgiving Weekend Recap!

What a great weekend! I was lucky enough to enjoy a four day weekend so I am feeling refreshed and ready for the week. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and a weekend full of delicious food and fun memories.

Thursday

My Thursday started off with a fun sweat session at spin class. I didn’t want to miss a week of class but it was also Shannon’s first class back from maternity leave. She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I truly leave her class feeling so inspired. Another one of my favorite instructors was in class so it was definitely a treat!

After that, Jordan and I went to his family’s house for the feast! I actually made a veggie dish so I was so excited for it. Turkey is just not my style so I stuck with ham and veggies. We had a great meal and watched the Cowboys win! I tried watching the Aggies play that evening but it was just awful.

Friday

I lucked out and had Friday off so I spent my morning working out all the yummy food! I’m not one for Black Friday shopping so I woke up nice and early for Pilates class. I used up the last of my ClassPass trial and visited a small studio in town. I felt so welcomed and even when I needed modifications, I got just the help I needed. It may not seem like a lot but I’m always sore all over after a class.

Afterwards, I went to a hot yoga class. The starts aligned because I seriously had the nicest and most inspiring instructor yet! She was so helpful and hands on even when I was dripping with sweat. I always take a nice nap after hot yoga

Saturday

holidays horsesMy training schedule called for a long run but I’ve really been feeling off this week and uninspired. My run ended up being an 8 mile progression run. I kept getting faster and faster so I kept pushing until the end. By the last mile, I started feeling the burn in my lungs but that didn’t stop me! Sometimes that just pushes me to keep trying harder. I felt great afterwards and was glad I stuck to a shorter run.

The Budweiser Clydesdales were in town so Jordan and I went to visit them. These horses are massive y’all! They were in stables so I wasn’t scared but horses do make me a bit nervous. It was interesting to hear their history and see them in action.

Sunday

holidays ducks

Started off the morning with duck feeding! I love the cool weather and enjoying a nice walk first thing in the morning. We cleaned up and went to church. It was a great day full of yummy lunches and the usual chores. It was kind of nice to get back into our groove after all the holiday plans.

Did you get any good Black Friday deals?

What was your favorite meal of the weekend?
