This week has been such a whirlwind. Hurricane Harvey made landfall Friday but Houston didn’t feel the effects until Saturday night.
Good Morning! I’m coming at you at a different time than normal but it’s because life has been terribly crazy for the past few weeks. Illnesses and unexpected family emergencies have had me running around like a crazy person. My husband was in the hospital this weekend as well so it’s been tough. Luckily he’s doing much better and he’s home!
So I’m coming at you with a different kind of post today. We’re talking about taking chances and going for what you want. Every day, I’m sure you’re bombarded with positive mantras and cute messages about living life how you want it and getting what you want. While these are great motivators, I highly most of us are applying this to our lives.
May has been such a weird month for me. It seems as its getting closer to summer, my schedule is filling up quicker. I kind of miss the days where I was in school longing for summer break! However, this month has also brought some disappointments as well. This post came to me when I lay in bed wide awake at 3am so please bear with me if I ramble.
It is officially 2017! I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Years celebration. As always, my husband and I didn’t make it until midnight. I think in our whole relationship we’ve only made it to midnight once only to fall asleep soon after, haha! We’re always so early to bed that our bodies just can’t take it.
This weekend was one with all the seasons happening in two days! Honestly, Texas threw me for a loop when I woke up to temperature in the 70s on Saturday morning. It was hot and humid in DECEMBER! However on Sunday, it was a chilly 38 degrees! This crazy weather keeps you on your toes!
It’s that time of year! Around mid-December when you’re knee deep in ALL the food, people start to throw around the phrase “New Year’s Resolutions”. Are you a fan of it? I know that it’s NEVER worked for me before. Even when I tried to write it down and hang it somewhere. Nothing stuck.
Y’all, I was so glad for Saturday to come around. Last week was so crazy! Had to travel for work and went to a concert with Jordan. On top of that, kept up with workouts and had to dodge massive flash floods in our neighborhood Friday night. This girl was wiped out!
