Hello friends! It feels like it has been a long time since my last post! I felt like I needed a bit of a life update since it’s been a while. It really has only been a few weeks but it’s amazing how our concept of time is tied to what is going on in our lives.
I started off the new year and had so many plans for posts and content scheduled. Then life started going CRAZY on me. Isn’t it crazy how when it rains, it pours? For the sake of privacy for my family and those around me, I won’t share ALL the details but I will go into part of it.
Early in January, I visited the doctor for my yearly exam and she had me do all kinds of blood tests. I’m not scared of needles or anything but they took so many vials that I honestly felt I would have nothing left by the time they were done. Jordan and I had been trying to conceive for a year. I know I’m not alone when I say that many tears were shed and so many questions went unanswered. There were two times where we truly felt it happened only to be brought to our knees by the negative test.
Well, my results came back less than stellar and there’s a big question on whether or not I am ever able to conceive. This news broke my heart and I couldn’t understand why the body that I took care of was doing this to me, My doctor explained that there may be many reasons why my results came back the way they did but further testing would be required.
At this point, other issues came up and Jordan and I decided that we would stop actively trying to conceive for an infinite amount of time. With the stress of this new situation, there is no way I would even think about having a child.
That brings us to now. My heart has been breaking and it’s a constant battle to get out of bed each day. I pray to God each morning for comfort to get me through infertility and our other situation. I have started working out regularly and eating well again. I deleted social media from my phone for a while and have just gotten back to feeling like myself. Of course, as I was going through this pregnancy announcements kept popping up and I absolutely HATED it.
I also lost my job but I was able to get a new one within a week due to an old friend. It has been a rough time in our household, y’all. However, I believe we are somewhat on the mend. My new job brings me so much joy and I’m surrounded by a great group of friends. I don’t talk about it as much as I should but I have been pouring out my heart to God each day and just asking for patience in all of this. Only He knows how it will all turn out, so I just have to trust Him.
With that being said, I will do my best to get back to blogging and sharing health and fitness with you guys! It’s truly something that brings me joy and I really did miss it. Thank you so much for hanging with me guys!
