Garmin Vivoactive 3 Review!

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! My weekend consisted of delicious treats, fun spin classes, and long runs in this summer heat. It’s taking time but I’m slowly getting used to it. Today I’m sharing a bit about my favorite running watch so far: the Garmin Vivoactive 3. I have been a Fitbit girl since the very beginning. I even had the pedometer you clipped to your waist. I upgraded as newer models came out but as I started to really focus on running, I always felt that Garmin gave me more of the metrics I was looking for. When I heard of the Garmin Vivoactive 3, I fell in LOVE! There were other Garmin models that had what I was looking for but this was a more reasonable option for me.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Review!

Vivoactive 3: Price

As far as price goes, I believe the Vivoactive 3 is fair. Not only are you getting a multi-sport watch but it’s simple and sleek enough to fit into every day use. The Garmin website currently shows these watches selling for $249.99.You get a touchscreen face that has Gorilla glass so it’s pretty durable. Not only that but the silicon wrist band? Yeah, it’s removable so you can swap it out for any band as long as it has the clips. The size is comparable to a normal watch and it’s pretty light weight.

Vivoactive 3: Details

You have the option to use the touch sensor on the side of the watch face to scroll through the options on the watch face. I turn mine off because I don’t want to accidentally have my screens change during a workout but you can also adjust the sensitivity to touch. The Vivoactive also has the option to be worn on either wrist and you can adjust the control button accordingly.

Vivoactive 3: Watch Faces

This is an awesome smart watch and you can customize the heck out of it. There’s truly no two Vivoactive watches that are exactly the same. There is a myriad of sports pre-programmed and you can also create your own. Within each sport, you can customize the metrics and cycle between them. You can pre-program running workouts and add your current training plan to the watch! (This Garmin model doesn’t have sound but you do have vibration alerts that tell you when to switch between intervals).

Vivoactive 3: Activities

  • Run (Indoor/Outdoor)
  • Bike (Indoor/Outdoor)
  • Walk (Indoor/Outdoor)
  • Strength
  • Swin
  • Cardio
  • Yoga
  • Elliptical
  • Stair Stepper
  • Row

Vivoactive 3: Conclusion

I think this is a neat watch because not only does it track your activity but it keeps track of your daily steps. With the ability to connect to your phone to display calendar, weather, and phone notifications, it gives you the option to stay connected while you workout out! For my level of activity, it works perfectly. I love all the metrics it gives me and I don’t have to pay for a higher end model with bells and whistles I won’t use. The heart rate option is a plus for me! While it’s probably not as accurate as a chest strap, it gives me a good amount of information and helps me stay on top of my training. I would definitely recommend the Vivoactive 3 to someone who wants all day tracking and the option for multi-activity data.

Do you have a smart watch?
