Blue Apron Review!

I hope you’ve had a great Superbowl weekend! It’s been a weekend full of deliciousness and fun times. We got our free week of Blue Apron on Thursday so we got to cooking this weekend!

If you don’t know, Blue Apron is a meal delivery service that sends you all the ingredients for three delicious meals. They work with local farmers to bring you high quality ingredients fresh to your door.

All the ingredients come individually packed in stay fresh containers to your door. The boxes are shipped weekly with three new meals each week.

The first recipe we wanted to try was the Chicken Enchiladas! It was so nice to have my husband helping me cook. The recipes come with step by step directions and pictures so it was simple to get started!

I make chicken enchiladas but I never made my own salsa. This salsa was super easy to make using tomatillos, garlic, and onions. Jordan helped with the chicken and the seasonings made our kitchen smell AMAZING.

That’s the awesome thing about Blue Apron. They think of everything! Not only do you get the ingredients to make your meal, you also get any special seasonings for the dish. You still have the option to customize and make any changes but it’s very simple to do so!

Each of us ended up with two enchiladas and they were amazing. Made with flower tortillas, and filled with chicken and Fontina cheese, these enchiladas were extremely filling. I topped my husband’s plate with some pickled jalapenos with extra kick.

Blue Apron has plans for two or four servings per meal. They also have vegetarian options and shellfish and seafood options. Our other two recipes are super simple and just as tasty!

The great thing about these meals is that the prep is about thirty to forty minutes. It really creates a nice date night and let’s us create something together. For me, cooking is about the experience and this truly made our night fun!

I really like Blue Apron and our recipes this week. I look forward to see what other recipes they have in the upcoming weeks. Trying out new things and cooking with my husband is one of my favorite things to do. Blue Apron makes it super easy and cuts out the shopping for me!
